Privacy Policy of The Martian Trust

 

We collect personal information, also called personal data, from you, including information about your:

  2. • allow you to buy and sell Martian Trust branded and co-branded goods and services
  3. • record your stake in The Martian Trust
  4. • allow you to vote in elections and participate in decision-making processes

Besides our staff, we share this personal data with providers of Martian Trust branded and co-branded goods and services with which you interact, so we can record your purchases and thus calculate your stake in The Martian Trust

We do not sell your personal data to third parties such as advertisers. If you click on an advert on our website or in a promotional email sent by us, the advertiser may independently collect your personal data.

Providing personal data is optional. If you choose not to enter personal data we’ll be unable to calculate your stake in the Martian Trust, and you will be unable to participate in its decision processes (such as voting in elections, post blog entries, etc.).

We keep your personal data safe by using industry best practices, such as encryption, backups, proactive monitoring, and anti-malware defenses, and by controlling whom has access to your data.

We keep your personal data for as long as you are a member of The Martian Trust, after which we securely destroy it by removing all personal data about you from our databases, email records, and filing systems (except for the data necessary to guarantee the integrity of past actions in the decision processes of The Martian Trust).

You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal data we hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
